About
Jacopo Tessadori graduated in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (Italy) in 2007.
Between 2008 and 2010, he worked at Politecnico di Milano, S. Raffaele research institute and at Optotec on several different projects aimed at taking advantage of voltage-sensitive dyes and fast cameras to assess the effect of drugs on electrically-excitable cells.
He completed his PhD in the Neuroscience and Brain Technologies Deparment (NBT) at the Italian Institute of Technology under the supervision of Dr. Michela Chiappalone in April 2014. His PhD project title was: “Development of a bi-directional neural interface system for the study of information coding in neuronal systems”.
From 2012 to 2015, he has been working under the supervision of Dr. Michela Chiappalone on the 3-year FET project "Linking biological and artificial neuronal assemblies to restore lost brain functions: towards the design of innovative bi-directional neuroprostheses".
